A WORLD OF LITTLE SPARROWS (Category: Encouragement)

(Lk. 21:2,3; Matt. 10:29,31; John 11)

(1) Our Lord Jesus stood beside the Treasury,
And saw the widow giving there to God's cause;
He knew she gave her two mites out of poverty —
And I know forever blessed that widow was!

(Refrain)
For He's The Widow's Assistor
And The Poor Man's Uplifter.
Tho' your hopes and your dreams have grown dim —
He sees the little sparrow fall,
And He'll surely hear your call —
You're worth a world of little sparrows to Him!

(2) The two sisters of the town of Bethany
With Laz'rus dead thought His Friend didn't care,
But when He came and saw there all their misery —
He also saw their simple faith expressed in prayer.

(Refrain, above)

(3) And so today in a world of such great need,
We as mortals should still seek this Friend.
So I urge you call on Christ for His great deeds —
That He still cares for needy souls you can depend!

(Refrain)

He's still The Widow's Assistor
And The Poor Man's Uplifter.
Tho' your hopes and your dreams have grown dim,
He still sees the sparrow fall,
And He'll surely hear your cal —
You're worth a world of little sparrows to Him!
