Thank God for That Ever-Best "Bread!"

¸,.-•²°´`°²•-.,¸¸¸¸,.-•²°´`°²•-.,¸¸,.-•²°´`°²•-.,¸¸¸¸,.-•²°´`°²•-.,¸
In fair Africa's clime I am told there's a berry
That is hailed as the rarest of foods.
Eaten with this fine berry,
Even those that are very
Bad to taste become foods that are good!
And they say even foods, acid-tart to the taste,
Eaten hours after this berry's eaten,
Have a much better taste,
Even none now you'd waste--
So I'm told sour food is thus sweetened.
Well, my friends, I don't know all the facts of this case--
It may be just a dreamer's wild dream--
But I now would relate
Of two more foods for taste;
Their veracity's held as extreme.
Take Elijah's one case of a prophet of faith
Who partook of God's good at His table;
Then with athlete's sure pace
He set out on a race--
And for forty long days was enabled!
But more focused I'd tell of a Food for our need--
Yes, a Bread for our taste now and ever:
This is Christ, rare indeed;
When on Him we once feed
He will satisfy fully forever!
O then haste now to taste that the Lord is so good!
You'll rejoice when "by faith Him you've eaten!"
And you'll thank God So Good, as those natives for food
They say "makes sour ones into sweetened!"
