O LORD TODAY BLESS ME

In our offering to God He requires perfection
No half hearted offering, His Spirit gives detection
If we are to be blessed ,we must be a blessing
Clothed in His Righteousness is to be our dressing

Constantly alert to all of our surroundings
Conscious that the devil is aware of our aboundings
And as that roaring lion who goeth about to devour
Praise God we have the victory through Jesus Christ our Power

We are to die daily, I am crucified with Christ
We do not live unto ourselves, but to give to others new life
As they see us in Jesus, concerned about our brother
And see a life of yieldness, a life not like any other

Should surely be an attraction, a magnet if you please
To draw them to that Saviour, to bring them to their knees
So Lord make our lives a blessing, make us doubly blessed
Who bring our offering daily to have that offering blest!

And, in the hearts, of all our friends and neighbours
As we continue to pray , kindly show them favour
Surrounded by your love Lord, sufficient is Thy grace
With that mandate "Always", we shall see Thy face

What power in Thy Word Lord, Who spoke and it was done
God the Father, Spirit, and Jesus Christ the Son
You have given us the honour of, carrying out your Word
By giving it as Bread of Life and Water to this world

We who are recipients of who You were and Are
Have been entrusted to share that news to those both near and far
Praise God you've planted, in our hearts, that seed of faith in You
And multiply it by Your grace, for the work You've called us too

I can sing "Hallelujah" for I have been redeemed
With joy I face life daily, for You Lord are my dream
No cause to seek another, none else has died for me
Here I am Your offering, O Lord today, "Bless Me"
