Lux Aeterna

Lord God: burning, unconsuming Fire,
You speak from the tree
Into the heart and soul:
‘My people you will help set free,
That they, and you, be whole.’

Saviour: burning, uncondemning Forgiveness,
You hear our excuses,
Our pathetic lack of faith;
Yet still, sharing our pain, you bless
With love stronger than death.

Spirit: burning, uncompromising Freedom,
You flame into our lives;
With our weak ‘Yes’ you melt the chains;
Sufficient grace Love gives.
We obey, living for Him. HE REIGNS!
