This month initiates a new Spring-look to "Cool Sites". Instead of the usual one-Site in-depth Review be listing, along with mini-reviews, several "Sites To See". I'm certain you realize that there are many thousands of Christian Websites on The Net and hundreds, perhaps thousands, being put up daily. Even with our focus on those which feature Christian Poetry, we can't print a Review of even a fraction of those we feel worthy of your time. Each week dozens of Sites ask us for a Link and although I carefully, personally review many Sites each month "many are called--but few are chosen". So, here we list several of those Sites I feel are of especial merit and also the specialized Easter Sites. SITES TO SEE EASTER SITES "No Bunnies at this Site"--- at this award-winning top Site, featured in The Washington Post, The L.A. Times, Computing Today, and AOL, you will find: The Origin and History of the Easter Holiday ( how "Easter" got its name); an Easter play with sound and music; poetry; gorgeous graphics; The Legend of the Dogwood; A Virtual Tenebrae Service; What really killed Jesus?--A Physician Looks at The Crucifixion; The Twelve Voices of Easter (hear Judas, Peter, Pilate "speak"), Images of Easter with photos of The Garden Tomb, etc., and Links to other Sites. Assuming a so-called "non-believer" stumbles across Easter in Cyberspace, I hope and pray they go to the link: "Jesus and The Intellectual" (would that we all read this well-reasoned apologetic). Read the Poem-Parody, "Twas The Night Before Easter", by Peggy Bohanon at and don't neglect to click the underlined, highlighted words in her poem--they're hyperlinks that will take you to words and images that encourage and renew. Peggie's Place is full of colorful flowers and is an up-beat, fun Christian site to visit. "---cyberspace journey through scripture, art, music, prose--" Here are many thrilling photos of Jerusalem, The Holy Sepulchre, etc. together with a history of the sites where Jesus prayed, was crucified and buried. Carolyn's Universe, --TheEasterPage Seeing just the beautiful cross*, with vignettes of Jesus' life, on this Site make the visit worthwhile, and be sure to read "the Easter Legends" of: The Butterfly, The Dogwood, The Easter Lily, and The Sand Dollar. All exceptionally well illustrated with picture and poem. *This original cross art is by "Bill at Fire 7" . When we go to we'll find love language and lovely angels that we may copy and " use all of my Angels that you want to but "DOWN LOAD" them (now) as (I am) putting new ones up every week---" Wow, new every morning---well, every Monday morning. Bill also quotes, on his page: "God writes the gospel not in the Bible alone, But on trees, and flowers, and clouds, and stars." And Jesus said:"---the stones would cry out---"; and in Isaiah "--and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands." As I was preparing this column I despaired of finding many additional, truly Christian, pages with excellent content and graphics worthy of the beauty of Easter. And then I did another search--and found the treasure-pages mentioned here. Ain't God neat? As Bill says on his Angel-Page "Look for a lovely thing and you will find it." And as our Savior reminds us: "Consider the lilies of the field----" I wish you all a "Happy Easter", and as we ponder the message and gift of The Cross and the living lesson of the eternal empty tomb let us be renewed in the fullness of life in Jesus. Be Blessed! Don If you would like us to review your website, send us an e-mail request at coolsites@christianpoets.com.
