Where Not To Market Our Poetry
There are many wonderful opportunities for writing and selling our poetry, but there are also organizations that offer to publish our work for a price. This month I want to take a brief look at marketing our poetry by talking about where not to send our work.
There is one basic rule that is important: If anyone asks you for money to submit your poems for consideration, that is generally not a good place to market your work. I found some links on the Internet that expose organizations that are not out to promote literature or discover new talent, but they just want money.
Check out these links:

I hope you will take these words to heart. Only pay to have your poetry published when you completely trust the sponsor. For instance, we've all been given a wonderful opportunity to see our words in print with the project John is currently sponsoring. It is well worth the $35.00 to put our words together in this anthology of Christmas poetry.
Let's pray that the Lord will give us lots of legitimate opportunities to market our words where He can use them for His glory.
Until next time, God bless.
