Uplifted Was My Heart (Category: Faith)
I watched a little bird
so carefully build her nest, I
then spread her wings over eggs
and let nature do the rest.
One day I saw her fly away
and bid them come to her,
though unsure, they too gave flight
what a joy to see it all occur.
Then uplifted was my heart
affirmed God hears our calls,
for He knows the very time
each tiny sparrow falls.
He made the universe and us
and watches from on high,
He even knows each star by name
that He sprinkled in the sky.
